Junior

The Junior loft ladder is available from stock in one of four standard sizes. It is constructed from the same pressure die-cast elements that go to make the Exclusiv range of stairways, but is supplied without the trap and lining.

The Junior is perfect for installations where a lined ceiling aperture already exists, but it is also suitable for installation onto mezzanine floors and can also be mounted onto vertical walls to give access for service maintenance.

The Junior is supplied as a ready to fit unit fixed to a 600 x 200mm laminated wood mounting board, which can simply be screwed to an appropriate surface in the location required.

Counterbalance springs mounted on the hinge brackets plus control springs in the side arms ensure that the stairway operates smoothly and safely with the minimum of effort.

The Junior can also be fitted with the same telescopic handrail as the Exclusiv, but in its standard form the stairway has fittings on the right when viewed from below. It is possible to have the handrail on the left or indeed on both sides, please contact us for further details.

If you wish to mount the Junior in a vertical opening we can supply two styles of auxiliary hinges, which allow the hinge to store in the vertical position. Both hinges provide the same function but one is spring assisted (see illustration above) whereas the other is manual.
